There are a large variety of online skills games available but some are a lot more popular than others. This may be because they are so well known or that they are easy to learn but either way, they have a lot more players than other games. Solitaire has many variations but the most basic and well-known variety seems to be the type of solitaire where people use all of the cards and try to line up the suits. The Kings down to the Aces should be lined up in the correct order and same suit by the end of the game. In order to achieve the cards are dealt in piles with a certain amount being placed face down and one card turned over on top of these. The remainders of the cards are dealt in threes and it can sometimes be difficult to clear the game due to the fact that some of the cards are turned down and it is impossible to guarantee what card will be turned over next. There are a huge amount of varieties of Solitaire, some looking like a completely different game, others using more than one deck but they all keep to the general idea of Solitaire.
Bejeweled is a simple puzzle game made up of a grid of colored shapes or gems. This game is available on the Xbox consoles as well as mobile phones and is extremely popular. It is relatively easy to play but there are so many excellent players that it could be extremely difficult to get the top score in a competition. The aim is to keep generating scores by swapping gems in order to acquire at least three of the same gem in a row. These gems then disappear and the above gems fall into their place while new gems appear on top of these in order to keep the grid full. The rules vary from competition to competition. Some are based on the highest score within the time limit while others rely on who can keep clearing gems before being left with no available moves. The match can be live or simply ends when enough people have completed their turn at the game.
